Secondly, the hacker undertakes a scanning and listing process. In this process the novice hackers utilize powerless scanners to find holes in ones network. The success of this process depends on the security of the network that is being hacked (Wang and Lu, 2013 pg. 1366). The hacker proceeds to the next step provided a weak spot has been identified in the said network. In this step, the hacker tries to penetrate the network using the loop holes in the network. The network intruder spreads damage from system to system by infiltrating the weakness in ones web server software. Their privilege escalates to a point where they get access to more resources and is mostly not noticed by administrators or users (OConnell, 2012 pg. 198). This is not due to the negligence of such users, but it is due to the manner in which the hackers intrude their networks. In most cases, they use technical skills that are not easily noticed by any normal user. The hacker has to maintain control of the system once he/she has penetrated the network. The hacker specialist hides their presence in the web server and remain in control. At this stage one is helpless and is left with the option to rebuild ones entire system all over again. The hacker can do serious damage in this case where the hacker has access to the network but the network owners are unawares. Hackers uses this opportunity to steal crucial information from an organization which they can then use for monetary gains. At some point, it may not be just for monetary gains but some just hack into systems with an aim of causing disruptions. Most hackers make their own backdoors in which case they gain full access to the system or network. With these backdoors, they are capable of accessing the network just like any other authorized personnel in the said network. All event logs are deleted and they install their own files, which will then allow them to access the system without being noticed, and can never be traced in any way possible. Remote Access Trojans can be used remotely, which is a highly destructive malware which is commonly known as RAT. By this stage, can we actually recover our system from the hacker who wants to sell it to the highest bidder on underground networks? Compliance with Cyber Security The importance of rules in any civilization cannot be over emphasized. Among the basic rules in the computer world, is the rule against installing third party software on company systems (Javaid, Sun, Devabhaktuni and Alam, 2012 pg. 585) This rule is however, broken by most employees and thus puts the companys computer systems at risk. This is a classic example of non-compliance with cyber security policies of a company. Employees who violate this rule should be punished accordingly and take responsibility of the damage caused by a cyber-attack caused by such behavior. Non-compliance to this policy includes things employees term as trivial. For instance, employees may log in to their social media accounts using the companys computers. This has the same effect with visiting some websites in the internet that put the computer at a risk of cyber-attack (Jouini, Rabai and Aissa, 2014 pg. 492). Such actions put the computers at a risk of IP spoofing. Additionally, emailing sensitive data from home to work puts the data in risk. This owes to the fact that data in transit as to be encoded and such encoding can only be achieved by a secure company network. Hacking data in transit can be done by amateur hackers because the general encryption of emails has been decoded time and again. In other cases, connecting company devices to unsecure networks puts the companys sensitive data at risk. Again, the unsecure networks put data hat in transit at risk and again computers that are connected to such networks can be hacked. This might seem like a simple rule, but employees have to be reminded not to store passwords in word or text documents (Javaid et al. 2012 pg. 588). This is because they can be easily accessed. In this case, the hacker does not need any hacking skills whatsoever to access the companys sensitive data. These little programs are very intelligent in terms of their functionality and complete a job or their intended purpose as quickly as possible. They usually developed by hackers, where they utilize these programs to scan the system networks obtaining crucial data or information in the process. The information obtained through unknown access points and weak places in software patches which are new and then exploit them to their benefit (Benzel, 2012 pg. 142). Given their ability to complete any singular task assigned to them very well, it is a challenge to protect ones organization against them. Bots are used to locate the simplest method of access in the early stages of an attack. Thus, Bots are good to some extent, but if used by individuals with bad motives, then it delivers good results to them/. They can be employed to scan ones system integrity (Mo, et al. 2012 pg. 201). Making your system networks less vulnerable to external attacks or any potential intrusion keeps the hackers away, making them to proceed looking for their targets which are vulnerable (Wang and Lu, 2013 pg. 1358). Gas was invented to cause fear to the soldiers the army was fghting. The gas could cause death quickly over a few days which was why poison gas was the most feared of all the soldiers. Gun shots from a machine gun were more common but using the gas put the soldiers in more pain which the army liked. Soldiers would have to put on simple gas masks and if these were unsuccessful, an attack could leave a victim in agony for days and weeks before he finally gave up on his injuries. Best Dining Experience Essay Although my favorite Mexican food to eat here is from my grandmotherÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s kitchen; there are a few restaurants my friends and I enjoy eating at. A few of my girlfriends and I have made Margarita Wednesdays a tradition in the summer time at La Casa. My brother, sister and I go to Los Cabos at least once a month in West Des Moines, which is an amazing delicious Mexican restaurant. I also like Monterrey in Altoona because itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s so close to my house, but no restaurant can compare to Tiki Tok in Mexico. My best friend and I were feeling spontaneous so we took a week off work and went on a cruise. We both found it difficult to eat on the ship because we were continually getting sea sick. IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ll never forget the fishy, chewy, and crunchy taste of the little shrimp and cocktail sauce going down my throat, or the unpleasant feeling I had when it was coming up. The only bad memory of my trip was praying that my legs would stop shaking and that my journey would hopefully reach an end so I could stand on solid ground. Other than being sea sick for the first day; I had a blast on the cruise! I got the opportunity to see many things and visit quite a few places. One of the ports of call was Cozumel, Mexico, and my friend Alexandra and I decided we wanted to try some real Mexican food. Of course, we were a little concerned about getting sick, but Im glad to say that didnt happen. We asked on the ship where the best place for Mexican food was, but they said that anywhere along the main shopping strip would be good. We then found a place called the Tiki Tok. The place was on the second level of a building. We sat out on the little balcony that they had. They had covered it with sand. The view from the restaurant was amazing. I was hypnotized by the vibrant colors and the employeesÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ of the restaurants equally vibrant lifestyles. I remember feeling jealous of the workers because they would get to go back to Tiki Tok tomorrow and the day after that, but I wouldnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t. The walls were an explosion of colorful textiles and every color of paint one could think of that was as bold as can be. Vases were on every table with burnt orange and deep yellow dried peppers inside. The chairs at the dining tables were made of a Mexican Serape material. The colors, the fringe, and the feel of it gave the restaurant even a stronger Mexican energy. My favorite part of the restaurants decor was the little cactus lights that strung amongst all the walls connecting each bulb to the wrought iron chandelier in the middle of the room. When one first enters the restaurant the Mariachi band is one of the most noticeable features. Three men were dressed in black with button up shirts and decorative sombreros all standing in the corner of the room. Two men had violins and the third was handling a guitar. As we took our seats the band started playing lively music and a few older couples got up and danced fearlessly. Everything in the restaurant was bold excluding my bashful personality; otherwise I would have danced too. I was in a trance watching the people dance with one another until the Mariachi band shouted in sync, Ã¢â‚¬Å"AY! Ã¢â‚¬ causing me to be brought back to the present. It was then that I had realized how hungry I was. The menu prices were in pesos, so it looked like everything was really expensive, but it wasnt. We ordered the hot and spicy red enchiladas which were about 60 pesos, and they also brought us chips and salsa. The chips were a little bit thicker than you would get here in the US, and there were three different types of salsas. There was a regular pico de gallo, then there was one made with tomatillos, and the last was a pineapple cilantro salsa that was actually really tasteful. Lexi and I have never had pineapple cilantro salsa before, so we werenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t sure whether it was going to be appetizing or not. After stuffing myself with chips our food finally arrived. It was just about the yummiest thing Ive ever had. The red sauce for the enchiladas was a little bit different than what Ive had here, but I cant tell you how. It was more delicious over there though. There was chicken inside the enchiladas and a touch of sour cream on top. We took the extra salsa we hadnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t demolished with the chips and smothered our enchiladas with it. I ate every last bite of it and was so full afterwards! The amazing food I had in Mexico was the best Mexican food I have ever had. I remember the smell of the ocean and sweet salsa at the same time. The bright colored sombreros and the ocean front view was an amazing sight to see while enjoying the food as well. Anytime I think about Mexico I think about the short beach chairs, sand between my toes, all the smells of the restaurant, laughing with my best friend and delicious enchiladas. This will be a memory that would be difficult to forget because we took so many pictures of the restaurant and it was the best eating experience IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢ve had yet. Im really glad that my friend and I were able to have this dining experience together. Alexandra and I enjoyed it very much!

There were many sacrificial elements that existed in The Bean Trees. Sacrifices that the characters in the novel made for the benefit of others or themselves. These sacrifices played a role almost as significant as some of the characters in the book. Some prime examples of these sacrifices are MattieÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s will to offer sanction to illegal immigrants, the fact that Taylor sacrificed the whole success of her excursion by taking along an unwanted, abused Native-American infant, and Estevan and EsperanzaÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s decision to leave behind their daughter for the lives of seventeen other teacher union members. Mattie sacrifices her business, her reputation, and her life to help out illegal aliens that are running, for one reason or another, from their original country. Most of these aliens are searching for a better life in America. Mattie assists them by providing them with housing, food, and medical attention whenever needed. She knows the consequences involved, and yet she perseveringly volunteers to give these people sanction. "There was another whole set of people who spoke Spanish and lived with her for various lengths of time. I asked her about them once, and she asked me something like had I ever heard of a sanctuary."(Kingsolver 105) ItÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s amazing how MattieÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s morals and beliefs make her sacrifice her everyday life for the benefit of people whom she had never met before. Taylor Greer had been running away from premature pregnancy her entire life. Afraid that she would wind up just another hick in Pittman County, she left town and searched for a new life out West. On her way getting there, she acquires Turtle, an abandoned three-year-old Native American girl. Taylor knows that keeping Turtle is a major responsibility, being that she was abandoned and abused. Yet, Taylor knows that she is the best option that Turtle has, as far as parental figures go. "Then you are not the parent or guardian?Ã¢â‚¬â„¢Ã¢â‚¬ ¦. Ã¢â‚¬ËœLook,Ã¢â‚¬â„¢ I said. Ã¢â‚¬ËœIÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m not her real mother, but IÃ¢â‚¬â„¢m taking care of her now. SheÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s not with her original family anymore." (Kingsolver 162) As the story progresses, Taylor accepts Turtle as part of life. This sacrifice later turns into a blessing. Ralph Tyler’s Evaluation Method for Math Curricula

Proper evaluation of all educational curricula is vital to providing an effective education to students. The purpose of such an evaluation is, in essence, to discover how well educational objectives are being met. An evaluation method must be accurate and valid, however the evaluation must also be accessible to those who need to use it. If an evaluation method is inaccurate or highly complex to utilize, it will either be misused, or not used at all. Math curricula can be especially difficult to match to an evaluation method because of the demands of the subject; scientific validity is a must, and ideally the design of the method would be crafted by someone who has a true understanding of mathematics in education. The evaluation method designed by Ralph Tyler is ideal for use by an educator for evaluating math curricula. Ralph Tyler was a student at the University of Chicago, and he studied under the famous Charles Judd. Tyler obtained his Ph.D. in 1927; he specialized in mathematics in school, which gives his work a particularly effective edge when applied to math curricula. Ten years after his graduation, he was appointed Director of Research for the Evaluation Staff on the well-known Eight Year Study. Tyler believed that scientific study was the key to successful education in every subject, and this was used as the basis for his research. Successful learning and teaching techniques were sought in the study, and from that research TylerÃ¢â‚¬ s evaluation method was formed. Eventually Tyler would understand that all learning objectives should be determined by observing and actively evaluating student behavior within the class. (Pinar et al, 1995) The Objectives-Oriented Approach was popularized, if not entirely fathered, by Tyler. TylerÃ¢â‚¬ s approach follows seven distinct steps: (1) establish broad goals or objectives, (2) classify the goals or objectives, (3) define objectives in behavioral terms, (4) find situations in which achievement of objective can be shown, (5) develop or select measurement techniques, (7) compare performance data with behaviorally stated objectives. (Worthen & Sanders in ITGRN) These simple steps make this method ideal for evaluation of math curriculum for several reasons. First, it is scientifically sound, following steps like the scientific method. The method is simple; it does not require in depth research or detailed critical thinking that would take a lot of time out of the evaluatorÃ¢â‚¬ s busy schedule. The steps are ideal for clarification of ideas, and it helps the teacher specifically ask the right questions of him- or herself as well as of the students. It also stresses empirical methods for evaluating goals and objectives. The shortcomings of this evaluation method are also minimal, including that neglects the context in which the evaluation takes place, and that it neglects the value of the objectives themselves. These are shortcomings which, unlike those of other evaluation methods, are easily overcome when applied to the curriculum by an intelligent person.
